The Iron Age begins!
“Ironbacks” is a heartfelt tribute to the hardworking people of St. Catharines and the Niagara Region. This region was built and continues to grow because of the relentless hard work and iron-willed determination of its citizens. The community deserves a baseball team name that reflects the rich heritage and strong virtues of the region.
Ironbacks is more than just a name. It represents qualities that we all hold high and aspire to possess:

Since the beginning, iron backs have built our communities by working on farms, at mills, in shipyards, on canals and in factories. Today, we need that same tough spirit to continue to build a successful, future-ready community.
Ironbacks Baseball looks forward to celebrating the community’s culture of strength, relentless effort and resilience.
In the heart of Ontario’s Niagara Region, Canada’s first-ever Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) team will battle American-based teams at George Taylor Field beginning in June 2025!
